Originally from the United Kingdom where he played and was coached from youth through English Premier League club Aston Villa FC Martyn has been instrumental in building youth competitve soccer coaching programs in Southern California over the last 6 years.

Well regarded by many professional coaches and players alike he is now focused on building the Three Lions Academy in Carlsbad, California focusing on developing an academy style soccer experience for boys and girls from Ages 8 up to 19

In the United Kingdom the UK Football Association (FA) recommended the integration of all football (Soccer) in an effort to introduce a logical player development and coach education pathway for all.
